About William Siegel
Mr. Siegel is graduate Electrical Engineer (BSEE), and President of SLA Lighting, with over 35 years of extensive experience in the design, engineering, and manufacture of lighting systems and luminaries. He holds memberships in the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA), where he contributes to three national committees: Luminaire Design and Light Control, Retail Lighting, and Polarized Lighting, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).
Mr. Siegel has been awarded multiple certifications. He was one of the first to receive the Lighting Certified (LC) certification, has received his Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional (CLEP) from the Association of Energy Engineers, and has achieved Surveyor-Ally status from the EPA. Mr. Siegel has also been certified in lighting by New York Citys premier utility, Con-Edison.
During his career, Mr. Siegel has proven his ability to apply his extensive business and manufacturing experience. As owner and manager of a 60,000 sqft OEM Prime fully equipped lighting manufacturing plant with as many as 75 employees, involved in hundreds of projects over last 35 years, Mr. Siegel is well versed in the design, engineering, and manufacture of UL/ETL Listed lighting systems, luminaries and related products, purchasing, plant management and Operations, and Sales Management and marketing. He continues to educate others in the principles of good lighting.
