LICN Monthly Meeting Meeting Minutes – February 3, 2016 I. Administrative a. Attendees: 10 members and 34 guests (total of 44 plus several latecomers) per the attendance sheet. We expressed our thanks to both Chris Early and Andy Baxt for providing the food again. b. Chris Early asks that all members to RSVP via meetup.com when the meeting notice messages arrive. c. The meeting began with each of the attendees giving the usual introduction and a ~30sec skills summary. d. For the telephone referral service: i. John Liguori – February ii. Len Anderson – March iii. Carl Meshenberg - April e. Planned March 2nd lecture topic is TBD. f. Future meeting locations: Briarcliffe has told us that they will be closing the building (probably beginning in 2017) that we have been meeting in for many years, John Dunn is leading the effort to find another venue. He has already found several other possible venues; final results for the future meeting location are TBD. II. Discussion topic: a. This month’s lecture was “Redundancy in Power Distribution Systems” by presented by Ed Gellender”. ED gave his usual interesting and dynamic presentation, highlighting his experiences with the Verrazano Bridge electric substation. There was a spirited give and take with the audience in response to Ed’s interesting presentation and discussion. b. III.
