LICN Monthly Meeting
Meeting Minutes – January 6, 2016
1. Administrative
a. Attendees:  15 Members and 26 guests (total of 41). Thanks to Chris Early and Andrew Baxt for handling the catering for tonight’s snack.
b. Our treasurer, Dave Rost stated that our bank account has $9,733 in it.
c. The meeting began which each attendee doing the brief ‘elevator speech’.
d. For the telephone referral service, John Ligouri will be responsible in February.
2. Evening’s Program
Howard Edelman did a presentation on PC Hardware and OS Updates. He started by talking about the Intel Compute Stick which sells for $150 with Windows 8.1. He spoke about new trends in hardware. He indicated that it is critical to do all updates on software, drivers, BIOS and anti-virus programs prior to doing an operating system upgrade. He spoke extensively about Windows 10 and showed the OS display for it. It was an excellent presentation.
